VIN: 384XXX
Pilot: Jose Baptista dos Santos
He was a racing driver from 1954 to 1970. He began racing in the 1954 S. Martinho Rally, with a Morris Minor 1000. From 1959 onwards he raced with an Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1300, with which he became national champion in the Tourism category in 1961, and became absolute national champion in 1962.
He later returned to Mini Coopers with this Morris Cooper S, in which he had an accident, which could have been serious, in the 1965 Tour of Portugal, he skidded off the road and fell into a ravine.
As the years went by and he dedicated himself to other professional activities, he lost some of the brilliance of his early years, and was no longer able to give the same dedication to his passion for racing. He ended his racing career in 1970, at the IX Montes Claros circuit, where he had a near-fatal accident during training.
